We were thrilled to see Tina and Edis’s wedding featured in Boston Magazine. We loved working with them on the design of the day and creating an event that really put their personal style into the experience.

Sitting together one morning on a rocky edge jutting out into the ocean in Dennisport, Edis Miljevic proposed to his love Tina Pedranti after four and a half years together. The seaside location was by design, not only romantic but symbolic for the couple.

“My mother’s ashes were scattered in the ocean, and the tattoo on my back represents that connection of ‘I lost my heart to the ocean and with it a piece of my soul,’” Tina explains. “He said he did it there so the one person who couldn’t be there during the wedding was there for the engagement.”

Choosing the unforgettable date of 12/13/14, the couple envisioned their wedding to be “intimate, personal, and full of love,” Tina says. “I wrote our ceremony on a beach in Montenegro, and designed it so our guests were circling us during the ceremony.”

The couple incorporated traditions of Edis’s Bosnian background and Tina’s Italian heritage that included dual language invitations and translations during the ceremony. During their celebration, they created a world where love, like the sea, knew no boundaries.

“We’ve always been a very intimate couple, and we wanted to have this moment for just us, no family, no ceremony,” says Tina of choosing to do a “first look” rather than traditional walk-down-the-aisle view.

The invitations, detail card, response card, and ceremony were printed in both English and Bosnian to respect the culture and language of Edis’ family.

Despite the winter wedding, Mother Nature gave the couple a beautiful, sunny, 40-degree day, but once the bridal party got outside, they warmed up with furs as the temperature quickly dropped. The fur the bride wore belonged to her late mother. “Wearing that made me feel as if she was hugging me on the biggest day of my life,” she says.

What began as a practical way for Tina to hold both a bouquet and the railing during her staircase descent toward her groom, became this floral chain, a dramatic touch. “I designed a traditional bouquet for photos, however since I came down the staircase in Wintergarden I needed to be practical. I was not risking missing a step,” she explains. The string of orchids wrapped around her wrist now hangs in the couples’ home.

With the wedding hashtag #sparklingeverafter, bling was everywhere—from sequined linens to golden chairs, shimmery napkins to glass chargers.

Tina’s niece hit the dance floor quite literally, as she dedicated a dance as her wedding gift for the couple. “Of course, the bridesmaids are rooting her on, and the DJ is making room for her,” laughs Tina. 

Every guest walked away with a mini bottle of champagne. “My husband and I spray painted each bottle by hand in addition to tying the tags on each bottle,” Tina says. “I was covered in gold glitter for weeks!”

Tina’s mother passed in 2008, but the couple wanted to honor her presence with a reserved seat in her memory, placed directly in front of the couple with Tina’s father sitting next to her. “My dad and I even took another photo sitting together holding the frame,” Tina says.

Both Tina’s and Edis’s cultures were represented throughout the ceremony as well as the couple’s wanderlust. Purchasing a hand-painted gilded globe on Etsy, the bride and groom asked everyone to sign the globe on their favorite destination.

In addition to an Italian and Bosnian pastry table instead of cake, the couple had smoking ice cream by Wiches of Boston, as well as a cappuccino and espresso station from Espresso Dave set up for the guests.
