We loved our Newport, RI wedding of Charlene and Max, located at the Chanler at Cliff Walk and were thrilled to see it published in the pages of Bliss Celebrations Guide.

While driving around Newport the sun was setting, Charlene and Max were stunned by the beauty of the area. The gorgeous sunset hues helped to inspire the color palette for their wedding. “I’ve always loved pink roses and wanted them as part of a romantic color theme for my wedding,” said Charlene. “I also wanted colors that would work well with the venue and the time of the wedding, which would span over dusk.” Once the sun went down, the venue was aglow thanks to small white lights hanging from the ceil-ing, up lighting, and candles placed on the tables at varying heights. Edna Dratch-Parker of EFD Creative – Event Planning & Design helped set the fun and romantic mood too. “During the cocktail hour guests were treated to refreshments and lawn games along with oysters and meat pies from Australia (the brides homeland),” recalled Dratch-Parker. “As the sun went down, the colors in the sky coupled with the lighting on the patio made for a romantic, illuminating view.”
