BWG Welcomes Patrick O'Malley

For members of the Boston Wedding Group unfamiliar with the differences among various social media networks popular today, our recent speaker, Patrick O’Malley, did an excellent job of Describing, Defining & Demystifying LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube & Twitter.

Patrick O’Malley is a social media consultant in Boston who took the stage at The Hampshire House, site of our February meeting.A professional trainer for LinkedIn yet not employed by LinkedIn, he is very knowledgeable about social media tools. Patrick described the differences among the networks, then zeroed in on LinkedIn which he feels is the most important one for BWG members to participate in as business people.

A fascinating talk, Patrick mentioned the importance of showing misspellings of your name in the Summary Field of your profile so that people who do misspell your name when searching for you on the web will be able to find you.

Google AdWords, Search Engine Optimization, How to Make Connections on Facebook and LinkedIn, 1st Level and 2nd Level Connections…all were explained in a 45-minute presentation with lots of visuals.

Patrick is a high energy, gifted speaker who communicates with humor. He takes a complicated subject and explains it clearly. He is informative, energetic, and entertaining and gave us solid tips on how to utilize the power of these tools for marketing our businesses in today’s economy. If only we had had more time!!
